Description wina Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc II
Sauvignon blanc is another French variety in Von Winning’s repertoire. Due to the cool climate of the Palatinate, as well as the limestone growing habitat, there is some similarity to French interpretations from the Loire Valley, although this wine has its own style and personality. The expressive but unobtrusive nose is loaded with aromas of grapefruit, green apple and pear. In the mouth, chewy feisty, with a good dose of acidity, but not quite naked. Clean, precise and crisp finish. Suitable as an aperitif, ideal with goat cheese and pickled and marinated vegetables.
