Reiterpfad – A den Achtmorgen is our first Pinot Noir GG variety. The plot is the heart of the Reiterpfad vineyard on Ruppertsberg, and our dense plantings of Burgundian Pinot Noir varieties, where we planted in 2009. The sandstone and limestone in the soil, as well as the sheltered location at the foot of the Haardt Mountains, are exceptional conditions for Pinot Noir. We’ve known about this for a long time, and as of 2018, it is meticulously classified as GG. The wine has a bright ruby red color with light purple highlights.
