Description wina Passo Lungo Primitivo IGT San Donaci
A dry red wine from the south of Italy (Puglia). It was not aged in barrels, it was matured in steel tanks. The grapes for this wine come from a late harvest. The wine was made from 100% Primitivo, which is not only one of the most important grape varieties typical of southern Italy, especially Salento, but in the world is certainly one of the most popular Italian varieties in general. It usually produces high-quality wines with a fairly high alcohol content. Full and impressive, yet quite easy to drink.
The wine has a beautiful purple color, the aroma is dominated by ripe forest fruits, raspberries and chocolate-covered cherries with a hint of spice. In the mouth, it is lively and full, with subtle sweet notes in the finish. Ideal for mature cheeses, cured meats, roasted and grilled meats. It also tastes great with dark chocolate.
