Description wina Le Monde Refosco Doc Friuli
Refosco is an old red grape variety described as early as the Middle Ages, but cultivated much earlier. In addition to northeastern Italy, you can come across it in Slovenia, and that pretty much exhausts the list of locations. Refosco yields full-bodied, strongly dry wines with strong tannins. Intense ruby red color with violet highlights. In the aroma, noticeable spicy notes combined with ripe red fruits. The taste has plenty of red fruit, plum and some almond nuances. Perfect harmony of mineral notes with dense and silky tannins. A truly aristocratic soul exuding elegance. It goes well with cold meats, roasted red meat and game dishes. If accompanied by cheeses then only very distinct ones – pecorino, cheddar or gorgonzola.
